Five Things Friday - Confessions Edition

Alright people.  Confession time.

1.  I let my kids have chocolate milk...every morning. (Gasp! go the mamas who monitor their kids' sugar in-take religiously -- but I can't keep track of these things.  My brain is overloaded as it is, and my kids are very healthy, I can assure you.)

2.  I am totally out of ideas for blogging.  Well, I have a few ideas, but nothing that I am able to complete.  There's just too much going on.  And we have sick people in our house...again.  Hence, the random (and rather boring) post.

3.  I have absolutely no motivation whatsoever to get rid of this baby belly.  Oh, I have the desire -- but not the actual motivation to do anything in order to make it actually happen.

4.  I took my kids to Dunkin' Donuts this morning.  And we...ate...DONUTS.  And they had more chocolate milk.  (I had iced cinnamon coffee.)

5.  I have a strange love of sugar (have you caught on to this yet?).  Sugar in my coffee, sugar in my tea, Oreos in my pantry, pumpkin muffins on my kitchen counter...it's pretty pathetic.  No, I don't consume all of these things all of the time.  I do choose to not partake of them...sometimes.  There are evenings when all I think about are those Oreos in the pantry that would be so very, very yummy with the milk in the refrigerator...but I don't eat them.  So...I do have some self-control.  Some.

6. (I'm breaking the rules! But I made them, so it's okay for me to break them...)  I over-use italics.  Have you noticed?  Yah, I thought you might have.  I'm just a very emphatic person, is all.  But I know I'm breaking a lot of writing rules.  (Oh yes, I minored in English Lit.)  (and apparently I am into rule-breaking these days)

Happy Weekend!!  I'll leave you with a pic of my two adorable little Halloween pumpkins.

I had thought they'd want to be Spider-Man for Halloween, given their current Spidey obsession - but  Ben decided he needed to be a pumpkin, and Sam always wants to do whatever Ben is doing - so we got two little pumpkins instead.  We couldn't find pumpkin costumes (in our budget) so Bryan got creative and bought these orange sweatshirts and decorated them with electrical tape!  I found the foam visors at JoAnn's and voila!   Pumpkins.  The boys thought these were the best things ever.
