It's been a busy 2 weeks!

So I apologize, for those of you who follow the blog, that I've not updated it in a while; I had two craft classes to prep for, then Benjamin's first birthday party, and during all of it, BSF to keep up with. Oh yes, and Benjamin to care for, and Bryan, and the housework...you get the picture! I am one tired mommy. But this afternoon I'm skipping the nap to update and then work on BSF...

Benjamin is walking now! He started walking pretty regularly on Sunday, October 12th, and has gradually increased since. He's crawling less and less. With the walking has come climbing -- not fun for the parents! He's got a few bumps on the head along the way. I try not to coddle him too much since Bryan doesn't want him to be a "sissy" - but I can't help wanting to comfort my baby. I am learning that no matter how big Benjamin grows, he will always be my baby. Now I am beginning to understand how our parents feel.

It has been a bittersweet few weeks for me. While I so enjoy watching Ben grow and learn new things, I already miss my little newborn! He is such a joy, and has such a neat little personality -- he's so friendly to everyone he meets, has a gorgeous smile that everyone just melts at receiving, loves to have fun and play and explore EVERYTHING (he has recently discovered that drawers hold very interesting things, like staplers and pencils). So I am trying to remain focused on that and not be too sad about him not being so little anymore. I remind myself, "when he was littler, you were not sleeping at night...you had to carry him everywhere...he pooped 5 times a day..." but with all the exhaustion, I still want him to be little again! I feel like I don't remember it all very well, probably because I WAS so exhausted!! Ha!

So does Mommy have the baby bug again? I don't know. I am not sure at this point if I want to be prego and chasing little Ben around. Because I am sure that soon enough, he'll be running everywhere instead of toddling along! I wish I could figure out how to upload a video of him doing his "Frankenstein" walk, it is adorable. He has not quite figured out how to bend his knees and walk at the same time.
I'll write more later about his birthday party and the little adventures of the past week. Thanks for checking back with me and being so patient!
