Master Diaper Changer

It's official.  I can change a diaper backwards.  No, not while I'm backwards - with baby backwards.  My 23-month-old son would not turn over for me - so while he's laying on his belly on the couch, I got the diaper on!  It isn't even crooked.

So...I can change a diaper while baby is standing up (even a poopy one!)...I can change a diaper while baby is sitting (though I will say that this is much more difficult, and usually ends up crooked)...I can change a diaper while baby is lying down and squirming, kicking, twisting (yes even a poopy one).

I feel very accomplished today!  Who knew that adding "ability to diaper baby in multiple positions" to my resume would make me feel so good?  Or that it would even be added?  I certainly never thought so, not while I was intently studying my French verbs and grammar in college, or pondering the particularist versus universalist view of the French Revolution in graduate school.  And yet...here I am!  Accomplished Diaper-Changer-Extradinaire.  (Phew-Phew!!)

This is not a photo from today, but it is from less than a month ago, when we were in Montana visiting Bryan's parents.  Here is Sam, munching on bread (I think) and wearing the detested diaper.

I didn't know you had a blog! Yay for fb. :)

I am so impressed. I have tried it a couple times and am not close to mastering backwards or standing up diaper changing.

Goooo Kim!
